Yurika Ohara and Steven Hall of ‘IN-PROCESS BY HALL OHARA‘ were selected as this year’s winners. IN-PROCESS BY HALL OHARA has been participating in Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week TOKYO since the 2010/2011 A/W collection. IN-PROCESS BY HALLOHARA was established in 2006. In the same year the brand won the New Generation Award, an award for new designers, at London Fashion Week. Through this and other offschedule debuts, the brand has also been garnering attention from overseas. Original ideas  characterized by modern nostalgia led to them being selected as winners this year.
Their unrestricted and humorous designs were evaluated highly, such as the way their global perspective is expressed through surreal illustrations that combine collages and handwritten patterns, based on the brand’s concept that embodies the meaning of being “IN PROCESS”. In an awards ceremony that took place immediately after the collections were presented, Senior Director, Marketing, DHL Japan, Junko Takada awarded a commemorative plaque along with the extra prize of overseas shipping credit valued at 500,000 JPY.

Winners of the award Ms. Ohara and Mr. Hall remarked, “The entire staff is grateful to receive this highly prestigious award. We have opened shops abroad in China and Hong Kong, and are working towards further expansion in the future – particularly in Europe, the US and Russia. DHL’s shipping support will be immensely helpful for us. We would like to take the opportunity given to us by this award to put greater focus into global expansion.”
