Notice of the opening of “E-POP UP STORE”, a specially established EC shop of “Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO “
Under the cooperation of Rakuten, Inc., the title sponsor, the Japan Fashion Week Organization (hereinafter JFWO) (chairman: Masahiko Miyake, location: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) will open “E-POP UP STORE” on August 19th, 10 AM.
This site is a special EC shop opened for a limited time only up to December 2020, in which customers can purchase items of 12 brands (as of Aug. 18th), mainly of those brands scheduled to participate in “Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO 2020 A/W”, which had been cancelled last season.
This is a project aimed at supporting the fashion industry, heavily affected by the spread of COVID-19.
“I am happy and proud this special EC shop of ‘Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO’ will be opened within ‘Rakuten Fashion’. Through supporting the growth of young brands and introducing young, spirited domestic brands to users in this site, we hope to contribute to the expansion of fashion culture in Japan, while providing a more exciting and fun fashion shopping experience to users.”
(Rakuten, Inc., Executive Officer, E-Commerce Company Vice-President, Mr. Ryo Matsumura)
“Despite current situations, I am looking forward to working with the title sponsor, Rakuten, Inc., in this project to support the Japanese fashion industry. Furthermore, I am happy and excited that thanks to their help, we will be able to transmit the creations of Japanese designers to markets which could not be reached by JFW alone.”
