―What inspired you to become a fashion designer? Describe developments leading up to the brand launch.

I am not sure. I used to study philosophy at university but it was boring for me to spend time with just thinking and writing. At the same time, my emotion to create something by my hand became stronger, which may be because the fact that my father who taught art or my grandfather who was an artisan of Japanese sweets.

―What is the brand’s concept? What do you want to communicate through fashion designing? What are the images of men and women you want to project?

Putting something flesh on contemporary style with technological or sometimes provocative approaches.

―What is your source of inspiration in creating fashion? What is your process of developing a design concept?

color and material always inspire me. “Material” means not just fabric but for example architectural ones like steel, wood or stone

―Who are your current stockists (areas, retail formats, etc.)? Describe the typical followers of your brand.

ISETAN, RESTIR, and a few shops in Tokyo.

―Why have you chosen Tokyo(Amazon Fashion Week TOKYO) as the venue for presenting your collection?

Because the support from Tokyo Fashion Award includes runway show in Amazon Fashion Week TOKYO.

―What is the concept / image for your brand’s 2017 A/W season?

A modern elegance with industrial materials and colors.

―What is your vision for your show / installation?

minimal and industrial

Future

―What are your brand’s future outlook and goal?

I just want to grow both as a designer and as a brand in order to return to all people who always help me.
