Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO 2025 A\/W <\/strong>3\/17<\/strong>(Mon.) Day 1 <\/strong>Report<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

FASHION PRIZE OF TOKYO<\/a> 2025 WINNER’S EVENT and Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO 2025 A\/W Opening Party was held on the day before the fashion week.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

FASHION PRIZE OF TOKYO (FPT)<\/a> 2025 WINNER’S EVENT and the opening party for Rakuten FWT 2025 A\/W were held at Spiral Garden, Spiral Hall in Omotesando, Tokyo, on the eve of the 2025 A\/W fashion week. The event was attended by approximately 700 people, including the press, related parties, and the general public. Despite the rain, the event was a great success and celebrated the opening of this season’s fashion week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An installation by ssstein<\/a>, FPT’s 7th award-winning brand, was held in the Spiral Hall on the 3rd floor, where a runway show supported by FPT held at Paris Fashion Week this past January was shown on a large screen. Fourteen mannequins were used to display the new collection at the venue, and for about 7 minutes the audience was surrounded by the music that was played at the Paris runway show, creating a realistic and immersive experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the video was shown, ssstein<\/a> designer Kiichiro Asakawa sat down for an interview. When asked about the response to the Paris show, he said, \u201cThe number of overseas accounts increased thanks to the show, and we received good feedback from from those who saw the show. We would like to continue to improve our efficiency and deliver a higher level of purity and mood to our customers,\u201d he said with enthusiasm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the first floor, runway photos taken in Paris were on display. Additionaly, guests enjoyed the event with drinks including Ballantine whiskey, Suntory Natural Water, Dassai Sparkling, Chang Beer, 333 (Bababa), Red Bull, and green tea provided by meta, the official media partner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This collection focused on designs with an awareness of margins, based on the theme of \u201cPositive Shape\u201d (the object) and \u201cNegative Shape\u201d (the part outside the object). Collars and pockets were hollowed out to allow layered items to be seen from the inside. To complement the silhouettes and graphics that show glimpses of the margins, the color scheme was based on monotones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The video was set in the \u201cKait Plaza,\u201d a space created by architect Junya Ishigami. By having the models walk through the vast, column-free space, the theme of the relationship between negative and positive space was brought to life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
