Hikari spent much of her youth in Paris and whilst there she felt herself becoming increasingly inspired by European culture. Since her student days, she has centred her activities around Paris.

A close relationship with her fashion designer aunt, Junko Koshino, has ensured that Hikari has been surrounded by high fashion influences since early childhood, allowing her to become deeply connected to fashion and helping to develop her own original sense and style.

Hikari has been involved in a variety of projects including a special feature in ELLE France magazine, focusing on her unique fashion sense.

Now, working with designer Naoshi Sawayanagi on a new brand - Licht Ster - Hikari has developed a collection based around a range of feelings and experiences gained in various places around the world, which she has seen through her work, travel and life so far.
