Tohoku-born Nakano worked for
NICOLE and BIGI before joining Sanei International in 1981 where he worked on
the VIVA YOU brand. He debuted hiromichi nakano at the Tokyo Collections in 1984,
winning the Maini chi Fashion Award New comer Prize in 1989. hiromichi nakano
Design Office was established in 1991, and in 1999 Nakano first held a catwalk
collection in Paris. In 1998, he was awarded the Japan Fashion Editors' Club Award.
Besides several li cense businesses, he designs costumes for movies, stage and
celebrities.
