The Latest Trends in Asian Color - the Strategies and Possibilities - |
First staged in
Beijing last November, the Asian Color Forum
is held jointly between China, Koreaand Japan.
The second forum, held in Tokyo this autumn,
is themed Asian Basic Colors,hasets out the
background to the latest trends and future
potential of color design in each of thethree
participating countries with the help of lecturers
at the forefront of color creativity in their home countries. We warmly invite proactive participation from all interested parties.

In terms of products, while some colors
are extremely saleable, others are extremely
difficult to sell. In fact, market research
shows that the range of basic colors
acceptable to the marketplace's current
demands is actually very narrow. This conference will learn about where in the spectrum the basic colors for each of the three participating nations lie and their similarities and differences through presentations by specialists from each country.

Emi Wada, Costume Designer
The first Japanese woman to win an Academy Award, Emi Wada is an internationally acclaimed costume designer who has worked on critically acclaimed movies such asOHeroO and OLovers.O Wada is also responsible for character development, and the talk will cover topics such as how she decides what colors to use in creating characters from different nations and an overview of her outlook on color.
