Graduating from Esmod Japon
in 1989, Kamishima joined Renown as a designer in 1989, leaving in 1994 to travel
Europe and Asia. She joined Sapporo-based T-THREE CO.LTD. in 1998 and launched
the KAMISHIMA CHINAMI brand the same year. The brand joined the Tokyo Collections
in the Spring/Summer 2002 season and opened its first store in Aoyama in 2004.
