After graduating from Bunka
Fashion College, Kataoka became chief designer at A/T ATSURO TAYAMA leaving in
1998 to set up T.K. Planet and launch the TAKASHI KATAOKA brand. He has been on
the panel of the Japan Creation Textile Contest since 1999. In 2000, he showed
at theNew York Collections. Besides hand ling the formal line KAZU ITO, he also
works as a f reelance designer. Kataoka participated in the Creation Business
Forum in 2005 and launched Les Deux TAKASHI KATAOKA with Holon Co. Ltd. in the
Autumn/Winter 2005-06 season.
