The company Mastermind Japan
was established in 1997 and the first Mastermind Japan menswear show was held
in TokyoOs Harajuku district in 1999. The brand first participated in Paris tradeshows
in 2001 and started wholesaling overseas the same year. In 2003, the brand held
arunway shows for the 2003-04 Autumn/Winter season as part of the Parisian t radeshow
Le Dome. Mastermind Japan has been holding standalone exhibitions in Paris since
2004. The brand launched a line in collaboration with French bag maker Goyard
in 2005.
