| After graduating from Bunka
Fashion College, Ohya went to work for Miyake Design Studio, leaving in 1996 to
set up his own brand. He showed at the Paris collections under the name Ohya.
In 1999, he signed a contract with Tezuka Productions for a collaboration project
which resulted in the Astroboy by Ohya line. Later that year, he showed the brand,
along with his signature line, at the New York collections. Since then, he has
been presenting his distinctive vision in Paris, New York and Tokyo. |
