A graduate of Seikei University,Shirahama
studied at Vantan Design Institute before joining Alpha Cubic in 1980. She joined
Almond Eye in 1983 and the following year launched her eponymous brand, eventually
joining the Tokyo Collections in 1988. She opened her first store in Daikanyama
in 1999 and launched the R*r Ritsuko SHIRAHAMA line in 2004.
