Born in Kumamoto Prefecture
in 1970, Nobukuni went to live in the US in 1991 and in France in 1994 where he
worked as a trainee at John Galliano. He moved to the UK in 1995 and graduated
from the Womenswear MA course at St. Martins in 1996. His graduation collection
was featured on the cover of the Daily Telegraph Sunday supplement. He held his
first runway show during the London Fashion Week in 1998. He was appointed designer
of Takeo Kikuchi in 2003 and debuted his signature brand at the Tokyo Collections
in 2005. He opened the boutique 13, his second store in Tokyo earlier this year.
