The FASHION PRIZE OF TOKYO is a fashion prize that aims to promote the emergence of up and coming fashion designers active on the world stage. This year marks the triumphant return of previous winning brand ssstein in a special event held the day before the official period. The event will feature runway videos or photos from the Paris collection in January and an exhibition of select collections. After the presentation for the media, a party (open to the public) will be held at the same venue to celebrate the opening of Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO 25 A/W season.

ssstein　ssstein designer Kiichiro Asakawa

Born in 1986, Asakawa opened the select store “carol” in Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo in April 2016. In July, 2016 Asakawa founded “stein” with 3 types of pants. In September of 2017 the brand name was changed to “ssstein” for the 2024 A/W season. In January, 2023 (2023A/W Collection) his collection would be presented at an exhibition in Paris. On March, 2023 (2023A/W Collection) Asakawa exhibited at the fashion show for Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO.
