Continuing the “MY RUNWAY” program, in which photographers Captured the Show From Their Unique Perspectives

An internationally and domestically active photographers will photograph the shows, the atmosphere of the venues and the visitors during the fashion week. This project conveys the appeal of the collections and Fashion Week from a different angle to the show look photos. This season, the shows and snaps are shot by separate photographers. Shun Komiyama, known for being the only Japanese photographer selected as a finalist in JW Anderson’s ‘Your Picture / Our Future’ campaign, which aims to discover up-and-coming photographers, is in charge of the show. Snapshots are taken by mitograph, which has been participating this project since its started.

Born 1988 in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Graduated from Keio University, Faculty of Economics, and started working as a photographer in 2014. His work is characterized by a method that does not rely on computer-generated composite processing, based on the concept of ‘recording perspectives on real events’. In 2018, he was selected as the only Japanese finalist in the ‘Your Picture / Our Future’ campaign by JW Anderson, which aims to discover up-and-coming photographers. He is currently working on a series of photography and poetry projects for the magazine ‘eyescream’. His work is characterized by the storytelling and emotion that emanates from her photographs

After graduating from the Kyoto University of Art and Design, he moved to New York, USA. During his residence, he opened the fashion snapshot site “Mitograph”. As he expanded his activities in New York, he also began shooting on-site where the world’s four major collections are shown in London, Milan, and Paris. Eventually, he found residence back in Tokyo and currently shoots for major cosmetic companies, domestic and international fashion brands, as well as working overseas.
