C JEAN

C JEAN is a Taiwanese designer brand. It gives form to the time held within materials—on the body. Through research and experimentation, the brand reads the traces that techniques, gestures, and cultural memory leave in materials, reweaving them into the structure, silhouette, and texture of contemporary dress. Here, craft is not a borrowed motif but a vessel for time and knowledge. Clothing opens these accumulations to the body in the present.

In March 2026, C JEAN presented the opening show at Taipei Fashion Week. Designer Chun-Yuan Jean received the Bronze Prize in the Textile & Fiber Art category at the Florence Biennale in both 2019 and 2023. She has also designed attire for a series of events and a formal dinner held in connection with the inauguration of Taiwan’s Vice President. C JEAN’s work has been included in a publication by Shogakukan.

Chun-Yuan Jean holds an MA in Fashion Design and Technology from London College of Fashion (UAL) and completed internships at Alexander McQueen and Hussein Chalayan. Her work spans fashion collections, exhibitions, live presentations, and cultural projects, encompassing concept development, garment construction, spatial composition, and on-site realization. In her practice, clothing is not merely something worn but part of a narrative. Clothing, space, and the body come together as a single work.
