With a theme of “I LOVE MODE, I LOVE ROCK" lessthan's clothing is a fusion of fashion and rock-inspired styles. Each season brings with it a new theme, mixing sport, traditional, casual and semiformal elements through a variety of items. The theme for 2011AW is “no cross no crown"; expressing the concepts of cross, prayer, light, sound and nothingness through a series of mens and unisex items.

Born July 21, 1972 in Tokyo. Graduated from Waseda University. Established DOPPEL GANGER in 1997. Debuted at Tokyo Collection in 1998. Opened flagship store “moon" in Jingumae in 1999.
In 2005, he relaunched his brand under a new name, “lessthan*". In addition to exhibitions in Paris, Berlin, Shanghai and Milan, he is involved with the mobile select shop gslp*, the designers collective td[i] and event planning for LESSTHAN*RIOT. His wide ranging activities also extend to designing clothing for artists as well as goods and accessories.
