Afriqan Apeiron seizes the niche of appealing to the contemporary woman’s most exquisite sense of choice in casual and evening wear at every level. Always opting for the best in comfort and creative expression, the brand provides a classy blend of style reminiscent of the cosmopolitan Woman.

Crystabel Getty, also known as “Tha Creatress” is the founder and creative director for the brand, she describes herself as an all round creative person and sees fashion as a form of expression. Describing the birth of each collection as her “Frankenstein” moment, where she feels she manifests the power of her creator.

Born in England she is a wife and mother of two girls, whom she describes as a biggest source of inspiration.

She started the brand in 2012 after she received great feedback from family and friends from garments she had designed for them. She wanted to create a brand that celebrated culture and to create casual contemporary designs that reflected current trends.

Her first collection “SimoQin” which was released in 2013, explores the use of elastic smocking in African print fabrics such as Julius Holland, Vlisco and Holland Wax prints to name a few. The use of this technique allowed for more comfortable contemporary designs to be created.

She since then has further developed the ‘SimoQin’ concept adding textures and different fabrics to the garments.
