The luminous light of NurZahra portrayed the life and spiritual journey of its creator, Windri Widiesta Dhari. It was all started to accomplish a simple mission: provides options for woman to stay covered in sophisticated style, liberates her fashion aspiration from strict and rigid conventional Moslem styling.

Reflected on her own experience, once Windri decided to wear hijab five years ago she felt the frustration in finding casual Moslem wear. Not only the options are limited, but also material used is heavy and styling is rather dull and monotone. Hence, Windri preferred fashion items that simply loose and long from any common brand that modest enough to wear as her Hijab. This where Windri start to eclectically pick and choose fashion items inspired by fashion style from Malayan Peninsula to Middle East stretched all the way to Turkey and Egypt.

Since created the label in 2009, Windri's excitement to continuously expand the brand is never vanished. NurZahra is more than just a spark of her creativity. It is when her journey finally found its silver lining, where all dots are finally connected after gone through more than two decades working in international fashion brand such as Valentino, Guess and the likes. NurZahra also served Windri's spiritual resolution in campaigning for a modest style in woman's wear.

Indonesia Fashion Forward program introduced Windri to professional fashion industry. NurZahra is one in twelve emerging Indonesian brands is selected to receive mentoring and various workshop classes from Center for Fashion Designer based in London. The program, which was part of Jakarta Fashion Week, equipped its participants with capacity building to expand to the international market.

Windri is married with three daughters, who she claimed as her source of endless inspiration and energy.
