"Sweets Runway" vol.4 in Tokyo Midtown
[Collaboration with the Town]

In accordance with the theme of “Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week TOKYO 2012 S/S”, you will be able to enjoy a collection of limited edition sweets in the sweets shop and cafes around the main hall. The theme for the 2011-12 A/W collection is “Classic”. Accessory items are a must-have in order to further enjoy spring fashion. And many unique ideas will be able to take out.

Éclair is a pastry originally developed in France in the early 19th century, and epitomizes the French classic in confectionaries. Pastry chef Aki, who learned the essence of French pastries through éclairs, offers these colorful éclairs in green (Matcha), yellow (Yuzu citrus) and pink (cerise), available only during the JFW period.

"Awajigata", which refers to Awaji Island in Hyogo Prefecture, has been a common theme of ancient Japanese poetries in combination with Chidori birds. This traditional confection is branded with the pattern of Jakago basket (cylindrical woven basket filled with pebbles) and Chidori birds to reproduce the seaside landscape of Awaji Island. It has been enjoyed for generations, with the oldest record dating back to 1907.
