Tweed Run Tokyo 2012
[Collaboration with the Town]

The Tweed Run is an event that started in London in 2009. Participants wear something made of Tweed and ride around town with their friends on their beloved bicycle.
This fall Tweed Run, an event that matches fashion with bicycles that is becoming popular all over the world, will be held in Tokyo.
The event will be held in Shibuya, a trendsetting area for fashion, culture, and art.
Tokyo has a lot of traffic but if you abide by the traffic rules bicycles can be safe, convenient, and environmentally friendly. The objective of Tweed Run Tokyo 2012 is to have participants rediscover the appeal of bicycles and also enjoy riding through Shibuya.
Of course the dress code requires that you wear something made of tweed. Tweed is a must for autumn and fall so put on your tweed jacket and pants, grab some tweed accessories and come join us wearing your original tweed fashion!

Tweed Run Tokyo’s 5 Main Objectives

（1）Improve the tarnished reputation of bicycles

（2）Teach bicycle users about obeying traffic rules

（3）Convey to the rest of the country and the world that Tokyo is an enjoyable place to ride your bicycle

（4）Propose the idea of dressing up in order to further enjoy riding bicycles

（5）Vitalize the fashion industry by establishing another fashion genre

Date&Time	October 20 (Sat), 2012　10:00-14:00 (TBD) *In the event of bad weather the event will be held on Sunday the 21st. If Sunday the 21st also has poor weather the event will be rescheduled.
