The “Support Tohoku Eternal Project”(S.T.E.P.),
a project to produce high quality accessories,was initiated in July 2013
by Jun Ashida Co., ltd. As part of the effort to support reconstruction
in Minami Sanriku-cho in Miyagi Prefecture.
The project takes the form of a collaboration between Tae Ashida and local
seamstresses, and has given birth to the production of luxurious
mascot key holders called “Mina-Tan Charm”.

In support of the project Jun Ashida Co.,Ltd. is offering the design and
technical assistance of Tae Ashida, and the supply of scraps of imported fabric,
parts,and other odd pieces that are left over in the process of producing clothing.
The full proceeds from sales, minus the cost of production,
is to be paid as wages to the team of seamstresses.
