▼C JEAN 2027 S/S “THE ATELIER IS OPEN” and the Exhibition “THREE QUIET ROOMS” at Shibuya Hikarie
C JEAN, one of Taiwan’s leading designer brands — which opened Taipei Fashion Week A/W 2026 this March — presents its first collection showing in Tokyo.
At 8/ COURT, “THE ATELIER IS OPEN” presents the 2027 S/S collection with Becoming at its core, turning the process of making into a language of expression. Garments take shape in front of the audience, in a presentation held at 17:00 on Thursday 3 September.
At 8/ CUBE 1–3, “THREE QUIET ROOMS” presents works that translate the lacquer art of Taiwanese urushi master Wang Ching-shuang (also known in Japan as Seizō; recipient of the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays) into contemporary clothing, alongside bags created across three generations with Wang Ching-shuang, his son Wang Hsien-chih and his grandson Wang Chun-wei. In collaboration with Hiroyuki Kambayashi, a rōketsuzome dyeing artisan of Shobien (Kyoto), garments are built from cloth he dyed by hand — proposing a new relationship between craft and contemporary clothing.
