All 50 brands scheduled to announce their 2016 S/S collections at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week TOKYO 2016 S/S, hosted by the Japan Fashion Week Organization (JFWO), came to an end tonight, Oct. 17^th (sat.), with the announcement of YOSHIKIMONO, as the grand finale.  All that is left is tomorrow’s “Tweed Run TOKYO 2015“.

In his first full-fledged collection announcement of YOSHIKIMONO, MR. YOSHIKI presented kimimos that were revolutionarily futuristic without disrespecting Japanese tradition.  Along with his breath-taking presentation style, the collection mesmerized the guests.  The care that MR. YOSHIKI had put into the creation, and his unique creativity, was pouring from each and every of the 20 pieces shown in the collection.  As the BGM, a combination of traditional Japanese drums and live piano performance by MR. YOSHIKI himself.  This contrast perfected his expression of “a world of opposites” = a fusion of “tradition” and “innovation”.
