sulvam”, chosen as the winner of the 11th “DHL Designer Award”

The “DHL Designer Award” was established in 2011 by DHL Japan, the Official Logistics Partner to Fashion Week events around the world, with the aim to support Japanese talents step out into the world.
Upon receiving the award, the designer, Mr. Teppei Fujita commented, “winning this award has given me the opportunity to expand my trade overseas, and I hope to extend my platform of challenge globally.”

Also, during the on-the-spot interview after the show, it was announced that he would be participating in next January’s Pitti Uomo 2017, January Term, to convey the high quality of Japanese fabrics.(*)

“FASHION PORT NEW EAST,” a self-produced joint show of individual designers, was held

AKIKO AOKI, KEISUKE YOSHIDA and others, who had been participating in “Tokyo New Age,” the joint show supervised by designers Yoshikazu Yamagata and Mikio Sakabe, held “FASHION PORT NEW EAST,” an event aimed towards the independence of their brands. Using Miyashita Park in Shibuya as the venue, each presented a collection with great individuality.

 

5 male models and 3 female models selected in the“Debutante Model Project”

This is a project to select budding young models from all over Japan, who are hoping to be active both in Japan and globally, giving them a chance to actually work as models in “Amazon Fashion Week TOKYO,” Japan’s foremost platform for announcing latest collections from Tokyo.
In this selection, 5 male models and 3 female models from Sapporo, Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka, were chosen, and appeared on the runway of Asian Fashion meets Tokyo (Philippines).
