Japan Fashion Week Organization Presents THEATRE PRODUCTS Presentation in NY
New York, NY – On February 10th, 2017, THEATRE PRODUCTS presented their Fall Winter 2017 Collection for the first time outside of Japan, as part of a unique partnership with NAKADEN KEORI and Japan Fashion Week Organization (JFWO).
The one hour presentation was called “One night, two day trip”, a reference to the capsule collection that is packed with the relaxed and elegant items you want to carry on your travels, such as the packable polka dot dress, stretch corduroy jacket, and a multi functional lip color palette accessory that transforms from a earring to a necklace. The collection also included the NAKADEN KEORI collaboration series utilizing their high-grade wool fabrics.
The concept of THEATRE PRODUCTS is “Fashion creates theatre wherever it goes,” and is designed by Akira Takeuchi and Miwa Morita. “It was an honor to present our collection in New York,” said Takeuchi. “We hope that we can continue to present our collection outside of Japan to show to a wider audience,” said Morita.
This presentation is part of a project called “Local Special Industry Support Funds” by NAKADEN KEORI Ltd., a leader in Japan’s wool producers. It is supported by a 5-year plan by the Chubu Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry, and will continue to show during New York Fashion Week each season.
Starting with the following SS18 NYFW in September, NAKADEN KEORI and JFWO will develop this project further by collaborating with American brands.
