FETICO (by R) (From 7:00 PM)
Yoyogi National Gymnasium No.2

Rakuten Group, Inc.’s “by R” project aims to invigorate the Japanese fashion scene and spread its appeal to the world. FETICO held a show through by R to commemorate the brand’s fifth anniversary. The venue, Yoyogi National Gymnasium No. 2, was decorated in pure white, reminiscent of an art museum, filled with a pleasant sense of anticipation.
This season’s muses were two female artists: artist Rebecca Horn and photographer Irina Ionesco. True to the theme “The Depth of Her,” both strongly projected their innermost selves into their work. Designer Emi Funayama stated, “I aimed to give form to what I believed to be beautiful.”

Inspired by the works of Horn, the collection featured a striking mini dress with radiating pleats and denim embellished with damask patterns—a nod to Ionesco’s worldview—rendered in jacquard. FETICO further shapes the inner worlds envisioned by its muses into its own interpretation of beauty. It felt like a timeless collaboration between powerful women across past and present.
The collection also welcomed lace-up ballet flats to its lineup of renowned comfortable footwear. Furthermore, the brand unveiled its first-ever iconic bag, “Arch.” Original accessories and lingerie expanded the brand’s depth. A collaboration with the brand THREE was also announced, with a limited-edition shade of the multi-balm “Gram Tone Color Custard” scheduled for release next March. The core of FETICO’s distinctive identity, the foundation of its overwhelming support, remains unchanged. Its stance of consistently proposing a powerful beauty is both stoic and unique. The designer herself is someone’s muse, and surely the women who aspire to FETICO and wear FETICO are also someone’s muses.

“by R” limited edition products are now on sale at the fashion online shopping site Rakuten Fashion. The lineup includes four limited edition items, updated versions of items that are dear to Funayama, such as shirts, bodysuits, and barrettes. Please be sure to take a look at the page below.

ANTHEM A (Mariko Suzuki / Nao Yoshida)
kiminori morishita (Kiminori Morishita)

This year’s support has been updated to cover a two-year period. Additionally, a pop-up shop will be held at 10 Corso Como in Seoul, Korea, as well as a model show and pop-up shop during the showroom at Paris Fashion Week.
Designer Kimura of mukcyen, who won both the JFW Next Brand Award 2026 and the JFW Next Brand Award 2026, quietly expressed her joy stating, “I applied at a time when we wanted to grow our brand, so we applied for both awards and aimed to win both.” Many of the designers expressed gratitude to their collaborative teams and close associates, and expressed their enthusiasm for expanding overseas. A triumphant return event featuring the eight winning brands will be held at the official Rakuten FWT 2026 A/W venue in March 2026.
TSUMORI CHISATO (From 1:30 PM)
TC House
Celebrating its fifth anniversary, TSUMORI CHISATO held its first show in seven years. The venue was TC HOUSE, an atelier that opened in Omotesando in 2010. In addition to a show for media and related parties, two shows were held for customers. With fewer than 100 seats, guests were able to get up close and personal with the models, creating an intimate atmosphere reminiscent of a floor show, offering an intimate view of the delicate handcrafted textiles, intricate graphics, and cute accessories.
The theme of the collection was “gratitude.” The brand has been able to continue for 35 years thanks to the support of the people who have supported it, and messages such as “LOVE” and “DREAM” were incorporated into the graphics to directly convey that feeling.

Big hearts, the Earth, and rainbows—things which designer Chisato Tsumori describes as “uplifting to behold”—are among the love-filled motifs meticulously rendered through knits, sequin embroidery, and jacquard. “Ever since Mr. Issey once told me, ‘You should paint,’ I started my collection, and I’ve continued for 35 years. I love making clothes and creating fabrics, so I want to keep doing this while staying relaxed,” she answered with a radiant smile that rivaled her own playful graphics. Some journalists at the venue were so moved they shed tears. Touched by their emotion, Tsumori herself also teared up, yet she closed the memorial show with an enormous smile that seemed to make the flowers bloom all around her.
The Rakuten FWT official website also features an interview conducted before the show. Be sure to check it out.
MSML (From 7:00 PM)
Roppongi Hills Arena

MSML, a collection of three designers with backgrounds in music, held its second show. With the theme of “Tokyo Rollin’,” the collection depicted the polar opposites of the refined serenity of the city and the chaotic impulse of the streets.
Many eye-catching items were featured, including a round-collar Cuban shirt embroidered with roses and outerwear with the theme phrase “Tokyo Rollin'” emblazoned on the back.

All the models had dyed their hair pink, which was said to express “the current mood of Tokyo.” A particular design featured a bandana pattern on the lining, which gave a glimpse of Tokyo’s clean main streets but chaotic backstreets. The theme also incorporated the concept of “Keep On Rollin’,” and this season was a statement of the brand’s intention to continue in the future.
