MBFWT 2016 S/S | Collection schedule is announced. “YOSHIKIMONO” to be the grand finale

The schedule of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week TOKYO 2016 S/S Collection, which is to be held from October 12 to 18, has been determined.
This season’s special program is “YOSHIKIMONO”, an original kimono brand of Mr. YOSHIKI. The world renowned artist, Mr. YOSHIKI, who made a surprise appearance at last season’s opening reception, will be making his formal collection debut as a fashion designer.
His collection will be presented as the grand finale of this season’s MBFWT. Please look forward to it.

tokyoeye 2016 | 12 brands are selected to participate in Paris Tranoï Femme

Utilizing the assistant project by the Organization for Small & Medium Enterprises and Regional Innovation, Japan Fashion Week Organization is promoting “tokyoeye 2016 Project” to support up-and-coming small and medium fashion brands which aim to expand overseas. A total of 12 women’s brands, largely those that participated in Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tokyo, have been selected to join Trano Femme to be held in Paris in October 2015.

The creative & art direction and graphic design work for the key visual was undertaken by Masanori Sakamoto; a representative for design firm Deltro who has been active primarily in the fields of on-screen media art direction and design.

DHL, the world’s leading logistics provider, along with IMG, announced yesterday, during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin, the launch of Cycle Two of DHL Exported, a program that supports the fashion industry worldwide.
This unique program was first launched last year and helped four designers from various countries successfully grow their businesses and brands internationally. DHL Exported provides an opportunity for designers who are established in their local market and gaining momentum internationally, expand their global footprint via a show at one of the world’s most influential fashion week events.
