Brand information / About the designer
―What inspired you to become a fashion designer? Describe developments leading up to the brand launch.
I like creating something since I was kid. During my school days, I was inspired by Harajyuku fashion and culture. I started being interested in fashion around that time.
―What is the brand’s concept? What do you want to communicate through fashion designing? What are the images of men and women you want to project?
I want to creat new styles as well as enjoyable products while people wearing my collection.
―What is your source of inspiration in creating fashion? What is your process of developing a design concept?
I get inspired from scenery everyday such as illusion and misperception from my daily life.
―Who are your current stockists (areas, retail formats, etc.)? Describe the typical followers of your brand.
It’s really nice to see people wearing my collection. Maybe they were dubious about my products at first. In fact those people become doublet fans.
―Which brands, designers, styles and cultures have had the most impact on your fashion designing, and why?
My master is Yasuhiro Mihara who always inspires me while working with him before. It was very good experience to know how to develop ideas into actual products(collection).
About 2017 A/W collection
―Why have you chosen Tokyo(Amazon Fashion Week TOKYO) as the venue for presenting your collection?
It’s simple why I participate the fashion show this time, it’s one of my goals to do my own show.
―What is the concept / image for your brand’s 2017 A/W season?
Concept of 17AW collection is designing collection that looks cool or tacky. I just can’t exactly tell what I have done.
―What is your vision for your show / installation?
It’s my first time to participate in the show. So I feel like I am a rookie.
Future
―What are your brand’s future outlook and goal?
It’s continuous routine that every end of the season, I feel myself is stepping forward to next level. But always there are new walls standing infront of me which motivate my creation for next season. Therefore I want to take care my honest feeling after the show this time.
About TOKYO
―What does Tokyo represent for you?
Tokyo for me is a city that compromises between East and West. In another word, Tokyo is like a curry rice messed up with Chinese, Japanese and Western flavor in one plate but ended up with delicious taste.
―Which parts / sites of Tokyo do you like most? Why?
My favorite place in Tokyo is Asakusa area. It’s always excited to walk around there.
