―What inspired you to become a fashion designer? Describe developments leading up to the brand launch.

After studying at Bunka Fashion College, I moved to London and worked at Alexander McQueen for 4 years and a half. I came back to Japan in order to start my own brand.
 

―What is the brand’s concept? What do you want to communicate through fashion designing? What are the images of men and women you want to project?

The concept of my brand is “Classic and Creative.”
 

―What is your source of inspiration in creating fashion? What is your process of developing a design concept?

My source of inspiration is not only fashion, but also nature and artistic works such as paintings.
 

―Who are your current stockists (areas, retail formats, etc.)? Describe the typical followers of your brand.

Those who enjoy fashion and have an authentic taste.
 

―Which brands, designers, styles and cultures have had the most impact on your fashion designing, and why?

The inside of the closet of ELZA WINKLER, the muse of my brand.
 

―What is your vision for your show / installation?

I would like to fully express our worldview as ELZA WINKLER.

I would like to have people know about ELZA WINKLER as much as I can.

About TOKYO

―What does Tokyo represent for you?

The city where I get a lot of excitements.
 

―Which parts / sites of Tokyo do you like most? Why?

Hara Museum. I like the buildings and the patio there, and also the atmosphere.
