Brand information / About the designer

── What inspired you to become a fashion designer? Describe developments leading up to the brand launch.

I have loved clothing since childhood and have always wanted to express a personal style that is not bound by conventional values. I began my career in the fashion industry in retail, but soon had the opportunity to create garments and became involved in launching several brands.

As I gained experience, my desire grew to build a brand that could freely express what I feel in the present while also being sought after by many people. This led me to establish ENFÖLD in 2012.

Under the concept of “Hidden Beauty”, ENFÖLD pursues the beauty that resides within structure and balance. We translate subtle discomfort and new balances found in everyday life into clothing, proposing designs that resonate with the wearer’s inner self.

── What is the brand’s concept? What do you want to communicate through fashion designing?

ENFÖLD is for women who face their daily feelings honestly, are not constrained by fixed ideas, and live according to their own values. We envision women who seek individuality and authenticity within their everyday lives.

── What is your source of inspiration in creating fashion? What is your process of developing a design concept?

My inspiration comes from emotions and subtle discomforts felt in daily life, fleeting scenes, as well as art, architecture, and structures found in nature—sensibilities that exist close at hand.

── Who are your current stockists (areas, retail formats, etc.)? Describe the typical followers of your brand.

In Japan, we operate 13 directly managed stores primarily in department stores, alongside wholesale distribution to select shops and online sales. Our customers are individuals who resonate with ENFÖLD’s values and aesthetic.

── Which brands, designers, styles and cultures have had the most impact on your fashion designing, and why?

Rather than being influenced by a specific brand or designer, I am greatly inspired by various forms of artistic expression such as art, architecture, and sculpture.

About 2026 AW collection

── Why have you chosen Tokyo (Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO) as the venue for presenting your collection?

Until now, ENFÖLD has built its own values without staging runway shows, focusing on garment structure and the relationship between clothing and the body. Through participating in Rakuten Fashion Week, we aim to present our perspective more directly and three-dimensionally.

── What is the concept / image for your brand’s 2026 AW season?

The theme for the Fall/Winter 2026 season is ‘Living Sculpture.’ We explore the idea of clothing as a sculptural presence that comes to life through movement and interaction with the body.

── What is your vision for your show / installation?

For this show, based on the theme ‘Living Sculpture,’ we will present a space where garments and the body interact, highlighting structure, balance, and the vitality that emerges through movement.

Future

── What are your brand’s future outlook and goal?

ENFÖLD will continue to explore the structure of garments and their relationship with the body, communicating our values from a unique perspective while expanding our presence both in Japan and internationally.

About TOKYO

── What does Tokyo represent for you?

Tokyo is a city where diverse values coexist. Places rich in history and quietude exist alongside cutting-edge culture, and this contrast is one of its greatest attractions.

── Which parts / sites of Tokyo do you like most? Why?

The areas around Yoyogi Park and Meiji Shrine allow you to feel the presence of nature. In the calm atmosphere, your physical senses become aligned and clear.

── What are your favorite / recommended shops (of any genres, e.g. fashion stores, homeware stores, food services), facilities and sites?

SUPER LOVE MARKET (Shibuya)
A small shop filled with unique vintage pieces and one-of-a-kind items, where unexpected encounters await.
