Brand information / About the designer
―What inspired you to become a fashion designer? Describe developments leading up to the brand launch.
There are no longer designs that satisfy our spiritual and daily needs, our curiosity to new ideas bring us to become a fashion designer. In September 2012, everyone talked about 2012 is the end of the world according to the Maya Calendar. We would be regret if we left nothing designs in this world at the end, so we start our first collection, which called “Look at me when i was seventeen”. It’s about how to mix and match when you are 17.
―What is the brand’s concept? What do you want to communicate through fashion designing? What are the images of men and women you want to project?
Independent, Dreamy, Extraordinary is our brand concept. The Women who wear HEAVEN PLEASE+, are Strong, Independent, Brave and Uncommon. They can create their own thinkings and stories by our designs and idea. Through fashion designs, we explore everyone to be a storyteller.
―What is your source of inspiration in creating fashion? What is your process of developing a design concept?
Arts, music, movies, books and literature in our life. Our inspirations come from the happenings and feelings in our city. When there is a strong message that around us, we will try to put all kind of arts as elements to create a design concept, and even a story.
―Who are your current stockists (areas, retail formats, etc.)? Describe the typical followers of your brand.
We get 2 shops in Hong Kong. The first HEAVEN PLEASE+ store, which opened in 2013, was chosen by LOUIS VUITTON HK City Guide, as one of best recommended fashion store to visit in 2015. And our second store was located in CAUSEWAY BAY in 2015.
―Which brands, designers, styles and cultures have had the most impact on your fashion designing, and why?
British royal, humor, rock and punk; French history and artistic inspires our designs. Japanese writer Haruki Murakami, Chinese writer Eileen Chang(Ai-Ling Zhang), Photographer Tim Walker and French Director Michel Gondry brings a great impact in our creative mind. Cristobal Balenciaga brings us how important about the form and structure of a clothes be.
About 2018 S/S collection
―Why have you chosen Tokyo(Amazon Fashion Week TOKYO) as the venue for presenting your collection?
Tokyo Fashion Week is the most biggest and edgy fashion event among all Asian countries. All fashionistas put their focus on this fashion week, it will be great channels to share our messages from that.
―What is the concept / image for your brand’s 2018 S/S season?
Our 2018 S/S collection called “The Science of Dream”. It’s about 90s memory.
―What is your vision for your show / installation?
We will recall some pop culture from nineties. There are also some structural pieces to describe more about HEAVEN PLEASE+.
Future
―What are your brand’s future outlook and goal?
We explore HEAVEN PLEASE+ not only a fashion label, but a culture. There are different design possibilities that HEAVEN PLEASE+ can be. And we hope there will be more spaces and ares that people can feel more abut HEAVEN PLEASE+.

―What does Tokyo represent for you?
Tokyo is a inclusive city. there are different kind of styles and let people found their own right roles.
―Which parts / sites of Tokyo do you like most? Why?
Tokyo is a city where keeps traditional craftsmanship in a modern way. We can find different Japanese innovators ,have their own interesting stories and strong beliefs, to explore their designs.
―What are your favorite / recommended shops (of any genres, e.g. fashion stores, homeware stores, food services), facilities and sites?
Tsutaya bookstore and D&Department are sites we like to visit. Business ideas and life concepts behind them are interesting.
