Brand information / About the designer

―What inspired you to become a fashion designer? Describe developments leading up to the brand launch.

I was attracted by the fact that so many beautiful techniques and incredible amount of time are devoted to make one piece of clothes.

―What is the brand’s concept? What do you want to communicate through fashion designing? What are the images of men and women you want to project?

Brand’s concept: New things get old, but beautiful things stay beautiful. I’d like to make pieces that are truly cool, somethings that are new, energetic, and inspiring.

―What is your source of inspiration in creating fashion? What is your process of developing a design concept?

All the cultures, techniques, enthusiasm, time, and livelihoods that have been cultivated are the source of my collections.

―Who are your current stockists (areas, retail formats, etc.)? Describe the typical followers of your brand.

WISM, OKURA, BEAMS, etc. The types of our followers are varied from street, mode, to heritage, but I have an impression that they care about their their own styles.

―Which brands, designers, styles and cultures have had the most impact on your fashion designing, and why?

All the clothes I have ever seen. They all have meanings in silhouette, fabrics and other details, and by observing those, I want to gain knowledges to be able to make what I really want to make.

About 2018 A/W collection

―Why have you chosen Tokyo(Amazon Fashion Week TOKYO) as the venue for presenting your collection?

In order to have our collections seen by more people from all over the world and make our business more sustainable. Improving our brand image.

―What is the concept / image for your brand’s 2018 A/W season?

I don’t set any concept or image for every season. However, I do care about what I’m feeling inside and try to put them into clothes making.

―What is your vision for your show / installation?

Haven’t decided yet

Future

―What are your brand’s future outlook and goal?

For now, we’d like to deal with the overseas stores that we can respect each other.

About TOKYO

―What does Tokyo represent for you?

Diversity

―Which parts / sites of Tokyo do you like most? Why?

Higashi-Ginza. I feel that Tokyo’s new and old cultures are co-existing there.

―What are your favorite / recommended shops (of any genres, e.g. fashion stores, homeware stores, food services), facilities and sites?

Ogawa antique shop, Japan Folk Crafts Museum.
