Brand information / About the designer

―What inspired you to become a fashion designer? Describe developments leading up to the brand launch.

“I was fascinated in fashion while I was in high school, and I wanted to work as a designer who made me feel ecstatic when I wore my favorite outfits.
I started meagratia after working as a designer and planner at various companies after graduating from Tokyo Mode Gakuen.”

―What is the brand’s concept? What do you want to communicate through fashion designing?

I’m always mindful of the brand’s primary idea, which is how flowers live. blooms change continually; they live, die, and then become dried blooms. Such transformations and excursions always touch my heart and serve as a source of creativity for my works.

―Who are your current stockists (areas, retail formats, etc.)? Describe the typical followers of your brand.

We deal with stores in many different locations, including China and Europe, both in Japan and abroad. Many enthusiasts choose outfits that are both distinctive and quirky as well as of high quality and technical merit. People of all ages wear the unisex clothing that we are suggesting.

―Which brands, designers, styles and cultures have had the most impact on your fashion designing, and why?

I became interested in fashion because of the punk culture I encountered in high school, like Vivienne Westwood and Sex Pistoles. It might not reflect the brand’s present image, but at the time, I was completely fixated with the look.

About 2024 S/S collection

―Why did you decide to present your collection in an online format?

We have kept up with our online and runway presentations thus far, contributing to the global dissemination of the collection’s image and point of view.

―What is the concept / image for your brand’s 2024 S/S season?

“Delicate erosion” is the season’s theme. This collection takes its cues from the wisteria bloom in the mountains, which spreads its roots and erodes the ground like it’s being soaked up by it.

―What is your vision for your show / installation? (General description only)

Various textures and designs are used to depict the erosion concept. We suggest products that pay close attention to detail, like fabrics manufactured by skilled artisans from across Japan and hand-crafted processing.

Future

―What are your brand’s future outlook and goal?

We will continue to announce internationally in the future in addition to Japan, and we’re also thinking about holding a runway show. With our feet firmly planted in the ground, we will expand our brand.
