Brand information / About the designer
―What inspired you to become a fashion designer? Describe developments leading up to the brand launch.
When I was young, I made clothes for my doll using fragment of fabric’s and from socks. I still remember being very fun and crazy playing everyday. From that point she advanced to a high school specializing in art that was rare at that time. After studying at the Ooita Prefectural Cultural Junior College of Midorigaoka High School, I learned the pleasures of art and expression such as coloring and drawing, proceeded to OSAKA MODE SCHOOL and progressed to the way of clothing. It has been 20 years since I was involved in making things of various tastes across the major apparel. I want to express the feeling that I was absorbed with a free idea with my current experiences in my brand. So it is fun now!
―What is the brand’s concept? What do you want to communicate through fashion designing? What are the images of men and women you want to project?
An independent self-standing female figure with herself. The concept of making clothes is drawing attractive not only “cute” “beautiful” but also”neat” . “Wrath” and “weakness” that we usually do not show in the inside of a woman Express the loveliness of the moment when beautiful things collapse. Women’s clothing that has strong conflicts sometimes and shows herself as it is.
―What is your source of inspiration in creating fashion? What is your process of developing a design concept?
I always prize my thoughts and feelings inside. “What kind of woman do you want to be now?” “What kind of woman is myself now? ” I always ask myself. The answer is always the color of the flower that blooms in the yard when I was young. The smell of perfume and red lipstick which my mother put on. I feel retro. Although it is said to be Vintage, “memory of childhood” is the source of inspiration.
―Who are your current stockists (areas, retail formats, etc.)? Describe the typical followers of your brand.
Many customer have their own originality such like ” I’m not asking for trend” and ” I pursue how I wear it ” . Our earring is the special and only one item. Designer put her thought into each earring. So, she make it all made by her hands. As a representative work until now, a special and only earring, harnesses are disseminated to the world. Always respecting free and innovative ideas at all times.
―Which brands, designers, styles and cultures have had the most impact on your fashion designing, and why?
There are no influenced brands and designers. Remembering mother’s sewing pattern of kimono, a craftsman who produces beautiful material, a leather shop making good use of the characteristics of leather always stimulate myself and stimulate my imagination. Craftsman’s hands are added to everything and things are completed. I want to make things that will be loved even if it goes beyond the times.
