Brand information / About the designer

── What inspired you to become a fashion designer? Describe developments leading up to the brand launch.

I originally studied aesthetics and art history at university. I had always loved fashion, and while visiting various art museums, I felt a strong desire to study abroad in London, so I went to Central Saint Martins. I began to study fashion in earnest and presented my collections while I was still a student. While I was still a student, I was approached by a domestic select shop and held a pop-up store. After graduating, I moved to Tokyo and started my brand.

── What is the brand’s concept? What do you want to communicate through fashion designing?

Everything is made by hand in our atelier, which is the joy of crafting. I would be happy if people see our clothes and are inspired to make something themselves. I’m attracted not only to perfection, but also to people who can appreciate the beauty of values that are slightly different from what is considered “normal.”

── What is your source of inspiration in creating fashion? What is your process of developing a design concept?

I’m influenced by all the works created by all the artists. The music and movies I come into contact with every day, and the art museums I visit when I travel are my main inspirations.

── Who are your current stockists (areas, retail formats, etc.)? Describe the typical followers of your brand.
