Fashion Studies® organized a talk about Japanese culture during Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO, in honor of Japanese Fashion Week.
Yoshiko Ikoma is a fashion journalist who produces a brand that fuses contemporary design, art and fashion while valuing the craftsmanship and culture that live in Japanese tradition.
"Patterns" have special meanings such as seasons and auspicious signs, among the patterns that color traditional Japanese crafts and kimono. Nanako Kake, a writer and art and decoration history researcher who wrote a picture book of the "pattern".
We will hold a talk by these two people.
