DRESSEDUNDRESSED designer as the winners of the 5th DHL Designer Award

Tokyo, October 15, 2013: DHL, the world’s leading postal and logistics provider, announced today DRESSEDUNDRESSED as the winners of the 5th DHL Designer Award, an award given to young, up-and-coming designers with international potential.

Takeshi Kitazawa and Emiko Sato of DRESSEDUNDRESSED made their collection debut at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tokyo in March 2012.
Since it was launched in 2009, the brand has been active on the global fashion scene, participating in fashion events in Paris and Singapore. DRESSEDUNDRESSED is also gathering attention overseas as it was chosen one of the six finalists of The International Woolmark Prize at London Fashion Week in February.
The DHL Designer Award was given to the brand in recognition of its creative design, based on their concept of combining the dual natures of a male and female designer. At the award ceremony, Junko Takata, Senior Director of Marketing, DHL Express Japan, presented the commemorative plaque and the prize of overseas shipment worth 500,000 yen.

Upon receiving the award, Kitazawa and Sato said, “We are honored to have received the DHL Designer Award. In recent years, opportunities for collection deliveries and presentations overseas have increased as DRESSEDUNDRESSED has been developing a foundation for moving into overseas markets. This award will help us greatly with our international expansion, as we strive to further our business globally.
