■Concept of the 2024 S/S key visual
Rather than “either being better than the other”, this world demands for “equally good”.
With certainty and uncertainty coexisting,
A new value is born from the fusing and/or chemical reaction of these.
This is what “OPEN” is, and the shape of the world of the next generation.
As fashion designers pour passion into clothes,
As the people who wear the clothes express themselves freely.
Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO is
Overflowing with energy to make this world “OPEN”.
Release, now.
Those desires!
- Sentiment behind the theme -
Amid a society in which various values, points of views, lifestyles coexist, we feel that a brighter new era with more freedom will be created by “OPENING” our minds and mutually accepting individual values, expressionisms, in coexistence. And it is our wish to express the energy to “OPEN” oneself through fashion.
– Symbolic visual –
As a model symbolic of advances in AI, a diversifying society and/or values such as gender identity, and the theme itself, the expression was made utilizing AI and CG. The visual has been made to express this model stepping out from the “runway”, a restricted supreme space, to an “OPEN world” at which the power of fashion is released with no end.
