As part of JFWO’s ongoing focus on “incubating” new talent, the following program has been positioned as an affiliate event, offering support and visibility to the next generation of the fashion industry.

Marronnier College of Fashion Design 2026 S/S Collection (by invitation)
September 4 (Thursday) 15:30~ Shibuya Hikarie Hikarie Hall B

Now in its 76th year, Marronnier College of Fashion Design will make its return to Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO since the 2025 S/S season with a special “Incubation Show” as part of the 2026 S/S schedule. Each student will present a single original look under the theme “Fusion.” Acting as their own producers, students will be responsible for the full design and presentation process, providing them a chance to gain hands-on experience and showcase their individuality. We invite you to witness the vision of fashion’s next generation.

The winner of the FASHION PRIZE OF TOKYO 2026, an award that aims to support Tokyo-based designers launch onto the global stage, will be announced at an award ceremony with an installation show held on the season’s opening day, Monday, September 1.

The winners of the 11th TOKYO FASHION AWARD, an initiative to support Tokyo-based brands expand their businesses on a global scale, will be announced at an award ceremony held on September 4. An exhibition and a reception party along with the announcement. Please join us.

An international joint exhibition 「TRANOÏ TOKYO S/S 26」

Paris-based international tradeshow TRANOÏ, in continued partnership with JFWO, will once again host TRANOÏ TOKYO during the Rakuten FWT 2026 S/S season. Now in its third edition, the event will move to a new, larger venue—the Yoyogi National Stadium 1st Gymnasium—to accommodate its expanded scale. Approximately 250 brands from around 30 countries, including Japan, Turkey, Colombia, Saudi Arabia, and regions across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and South America, will take part, bringing together a vibrant showcase of diverse cultures and crafts. This season will also feature unique collaborations such as U/MUSIC, a fashion project launched by Universal Music; Adult Oriented Records, a record boutique and label helmed by fashion designer Takumi Yuge; aand Ofr. Paris , an art bookstore established in 1996 in Paris’s Marais district of Paris. Together, these participants will offer an immersive cultural experience at the intersection of fashion, music, and art.

August 29th (Friday) – Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO 2026 S/S Season Opening Event & Japan Fashion Week 20th Anniversary Ceremony

On Friday, August 29, we will host a special ceremony to mark the opening of Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO 2026 S/S and to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Japan Fashion Week. This event will serve as a gathering to honor the many designers who have participated over the years, along with the partners, collaborators, and industry professionals who have supported Fashion Week in Tokyo. A formal invitation will follow, but we kindly ask all invitees to mark their calendars for August 29 in advance.
