Brand information / About the designer

―What is the brand’s concept? What do you want to communicate through fashion designing? What are the images of men and women you want to project?

Simple designs without too much emphasis on the main concept “LADY MINIMAL;” a presentation of a timeless wardrobe that is both minimal and practical.

―What is your source of inspiration in creating fashion? What is your process of developing a design concept?

Many things come from our actions, and mainly our silly conversations.

―Who are your current stockists (areas, retail formats, etc.)? Describe the typical followers of your brand.

Currently there are shops in Kanto Region (Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama), Kansai Region (Osaka, Kyoto, Hyogo), Central Japan (Nagoya), Hokkaido, Kyushu Region (Fukuoka), and so on. Also, Hong Kong overseas.
The main characteristic of our custers is that they are “ageless”.
From the early 20’s to 50’s, there are customers who pull off KBF very well.

About 2014-15 A/W collection

―Why have you chosen Tokyo (or MBFWT) as the venue for presenting your collection?

Although we have conducted independent collections for 10 seasons now, next year our brand will be celebrating its 20th anniversary. According, we feel that it is about time to move on to the next step, challenging a presentation in a new scene. This is also part of a decision to constantly bring new objects and things to our fans who have been with us over the years.

―What is the concept / image for your brand’s 2014-15 A/W season?

The Surge
The actions of a certain lady, and the environmental waves surrounding daily life.

―What are your brand’s future outlook and goal for 2014?

This season is a year for preparations aimed at the 20th anniversary, as well as a year of changes.
It looks like it will become a year in which the scenes for new presentations are expanded, not only limited to within Japan.

―What does Tokyo represent for you?

A very important place in the context of absorption and transmission.
