Brand information / About the designer

―What inspired you to become a fashion designer? Describe developments leading up to the brand launch.

I have been captivated with clothing since my high school age and wanted to be a person who creates that elation for others.
 

―What is the brand’s concept? What do you want to communicate through fashion designing? What are the images of men and women you want to project?

The richness and freedom of dressing yourself, to feel the elation.To challenge the norm and to enable people to feel the discovery.
 

―What is your source of inspiration in creating fashion? What is your process of developing a design concept?

The sense and atmosphere in my daily life. I always have vague pieces of imagery in my mind to create fashion.
 

―Who are your current stockists (areas, retail formats, etc.)? Describe the typical followers of your brand.

Select shops in Japan. I value the communications with my customers during our exhibitions and events.
 

―Which brands, designers, styles and cultures have had the most impact on your fashion designing, and why?

I have searched through history and fashion. I pay close attention to the subtle differences in style and I may see something that has been developing over the ages.

About 2019 S/S collection

―Why have you chosen Tokyo(Amazon Fashion Week TOKYO) as the venue for presenting your collection?

We felt it was now the right time to do our first runway to bring our brand to the rest of the world and we are pursuing global development.
 

―What is the concept / image for your brand’s 2019 S/S season?

―What is your vision for your show / installation?

Not only the clothes but we are expressing our worldview encompassing the entire show.

Future

―What are your brand’s future outlook and goal?

Foccussing on global developement and awareness and to see people from all over the globe experencing our clothing.

About TOKYO

―What does Tokyo represent for you?

Always changing and stimulating. A city mixed with freedom and conformity.
 

―Which parts / sites of Tokyo do you like most? Why?

Sangejaya where our atelier is based. There are lots of thrift stores and restaurants, filled with new and old things which inspire me. I enjoy the the balance of urban life and living in an area which is also comfortable friendly and convenient to live in.
 

―What are your favorite / recommended shops (of any genres, e.g. fashion stores, homeware stores, food services), facilities and sites?

Thrift store “The Light” in Sangenjaya.
Also the sight from the inbound lane of the Central Circular Route along the Arakawa river at night.
