―What inspired you to become a fashion designer? Describe developments leading up to the brand launch.

I got motivated to make clothes by myself, after becoming interested in clothes when
I was a junior high school student looking at various clothes.

―What is the brand’s concept? What do you want to communicate through fashion designing? What are the images of men and women you want to project?

“Clothes to attract quietly”.
The brand is recognized for its simple and well thought-out designs with graceful lines and silhouettes using high quality materials. These attributes embody the effortless aesthetic of WEWILL which gives a charming and desirable perception to the brand.

―What is your source of inspiration in creating fashion? What is your process of developing a design concept?

The source of inspiration is “daily life”.
What I notice and think in everyday life, becomes the source of my ideas.

―Who are your current stockists (areas, retail formats, etc.)? Describe the typical followers of your brand.

Products are not wholesaled.
They are sold in our company’s website,
and through limited-time events and so on with stores who we share philosophy with.

―Which brands, designers, styles and cultures have had the most impact on your fashion designing, and why?

Martin Margiela and Comme des Garcons, because they are so fascinating.

About 2018 A/W collection

―Why have you chosen Tokyo(Amazon Fashion Week TOKYO) as the venue for presenting your collection?

Because I wanted more people to see the collection.

―What is the concept / image for your brand’s 2018 A/W season?

What I dreamt during sleep.

―What is your vision for your show / installation?

A feeling of unity.

Current base for living.

Ginza. Because it is a city where tradition and avant-garde coexist.
