(11:30- / Shibuya Hikarie Hikarie Hall A)
One of this season’s Official Ambassadors, Licaxxx, was in charge of the music used in the show of “DRESSEDUNDRESSED”, the first show in “Amazon Fashion Week TOKYO 2019 A/W”.
In the on-the-spot interview she spoke of her enthusiasm as the ambassador, saying “I do music activities, and am involved in the production of shows in the shape of music, but since music is used in almost all shows, I think the show itself would become more interesting if people would pay more attention to the music too. There are shows in which music is an important point of the production, so by looking at that more, I think people can enjoy the fashion and/or culture even more. I’m an official ambassador as a music person, so I’d like to promote that aspect”.
The Official Ambassador, Mr. Harry Sugiyama, visits “FUKUSHIMA PRIDE by JUNKO KOSHINO”
(18:00- / Omotesando Hills, main building B3F, Space O)
The Official Ambassador, Mr. Harry Sugiyama, came to view the “FUKUSHIMA PRIDE by JUNKO KOSHINO” show. Of this show in which all items made from materials created in Fukushima Prefecture were presented, he spoke of his impression, saying “JUNKO KOSHINO breathed a new life into Fukushima materials, and created a new breath of wind. I felt a sure warmth in this aggressive style and was encouraged by it. Normal but something interesting about it, and I feel it was a collection which conveyed the message of fully enjoying life together.”
Furthermore, of his enthusiasm as an Official Ambassador he spoke, “This is my third season as the Official Ambassador. Every time I’m surprised by the many facets which Tokyo fashion has. I so much enjoy breathing the same air as the ‘clothing’, created by the Japanese attention to detail, love towards clothing, and sensitivity. Let’s burn this spectacle into our memories together!”
