Brand information / About the designer
―What inspired you to become a fashion designer? Describe developments leading up to the brand launch.
I’ve always been Interested in Design in all forms. I have a BFA in Advertising and Design will always be my Career Trajectory. I’ve always loved seeing clothes in films and in Art. That really got me interested in the art of Clothes. A lot of Hard work is put into making The Collection happen. from working with artisans with the embroidery to creating all the prints and Finishings.
―What is the brand’s concept? What do you want to communicate through fashion designing? What are the images of men and women you want to project?
The Brand is Pushing for more of an artisanal but contemporary approach to Fashion. Utilizing Bold Motifs and textures. A strong sense of self and openness to radical concepts in Cuts, Colors and embellishments that gives appreciation to the craft. The Brand wants to Project a sense of effortless Maximalism but with a tinge of familiarity that doesnt alienate the consumer.
―What is your source of inspiration in creating fashion? What is your process of developing a design concept?
Inspiration can come from anywhere but i’m a very visual person and i get inspired by seeing imagery wether it be Art, Interior Design Or Film. I don’t have a set process. i design things i like and sometimes inspirations and visual cues just comes along. I like Building a story but not being confined by it.
―Who are your current stockists (areas, retail formats, etc.)? Describe the typical followers of your brand.
The Brand is Currently in the Beginning Stages But I would Like People who Appreciate the Craft of Making Clothes and Artisanal Techniques to be at the forefront of that. Currently The Philippine Market is Based of A Made to Order Business Module so I have yet to have Stockists.
―Which brands, designers, styles and cultures have had the most impact on your fashion designing, and why?
I would Consider Alexander Mcqueen and John Galliano to be How i got interested into fashion in the first Place. The Sheer Genius and Gravitas for them to Come up with these Larger than life concepts taught me how to dream. Currently I would consider my favorite Designer Brands are Dries Van Noten for his Expert hand in Melding Color, Print and Textures so effectively. I’m always in awe.
Consuelo Castiglioni of Marni. The Feminine Eccentricity which she brings and Raf Simons for just all that he does. He really is the most influential Designer for me.
